Gliss
The ribbon synth that sings.
01 What it is
Gliss is a touch instrument for iPhone and iPad, descended from the Trautonium. Two lines of light run across the screen: slide a finger along one and the pitch follows continuously, like a voice or a bow. Press lower and the note swells; move back toward the line and it fades to a breath.
02 Gravity & flex
Every note is a magnet. With low GRAVITY the lines are fretless and every pitch in between is yours; with high gravity your finger is pulled into tune. FLEX sets the elastic between finger and pitch — loose for a slow, singing portamento, tight for a snap.
03 The voice
A Trautonium-born engine with subharmonic dividers, vocal formants and breath; hold a note and an orbital vibrato settles in. 24 sounds and 28 tunings with true quarter tones, from Arabic maqam to just intonation — plus one-finger chords, an arpeggiator, a looper and a separate lane per line.
04 Free, then pro
Free forever as a real instrument: the whole gesture, three sounds and three tunings, every key and octave. A one-time PRO unlock opens all 24 sounds, all 28 tunings with Egypt–Syria shading, chords, arpeggiator, looper, lanes, tilt and effects — no subscription.
